Escape to a gorgeous countryside estate for a dreamy sewing workshop with private rooms, guided sessions and plenty of time to create, relax, and explore.
Join Couture In The Country for a relaxed, all-inclusive residential sewing retreat in the beautiful surroundings of the estate.
Whether you’re an experienced sewer, keen to learn, or somewhere in between, this long weekend retreat is an opportunity to sew, learn and enjoy time with like-minded makers. With just 12 places, you’ll have plenty of guidance and support without the feel of a formal course or boot camp.
Enjoy around 25 hours of sewing, accommodation, inclusive meals, country walks and cosy evenings by the fire all planned by Suzannah Starkey of Couture in the Country.
From Friday 29 October to Sunday 1 November, enjoy a long weekend dedicated to sewing, creativity and plenty of relaxation.
This retreat is designed for sewers of all experience levels. Perhaps you want to learn new techniques, improve your fitting process, work from a pattern or simply become more confident with your machine? There’s no pressure and no formal course structure – just expert guidance, plenty of sewing time and the opportunity to work at your own pace.

You don’t need to bring your own machine or equipment, although you’re very welcome to bring your preferred machine, patterns or sewing materials if you wish.
Specialist fabric and haberdashery will be available at an additional cost, as will drinks at the bar and massages, which can be arranged on request.

Price: £895 per person. Full payment is required by 1 October.
