Welcome to Norwood Park
Located less than a minute from the market town of Southwell lies Norwood Park, one of the finest wedding venues in Nottinghamshire. Just fifteen minutes from GNER services to Newark Northgate, and approximately twenty minutes from Nottingham city centre, Norwood Park is a tranquil haven set within over 100 acres of ancient parkland. This restful and secluded location makes it the perfect wedding venue in Nottingham.
The House itself, overlooking the lake and apple orchards, was built in 1764 and was, at the time of its completion, as it is now, one of the great houses of the county of Nottinghamshire.
Norwood Park, home to the Starkey family for five generations, is not open to the general public, allowing guests to enjoy the privacy of this beautiful period home in complete privacy. All events at Norwood are exclusive use only.
Viewings strictly by appointment only.
Unique Camping at Norwood Park
Back 2 Basics is a brand new, unique camping endeavour for children aged 8-13. This two-night adventure will educate your child in fundamental skills such as independence, working in a team and important social skills by developing their knowledge in outdoor basic activities. A variety of outdoor games and exercises will be the basis of such teaching, meaning that they will leave the camp with back to basic knowledge not found online or taught in schools.
The very first camp will take place at Norwood Park, Southwell, Nottingham on 29th-31st July; a fantastic estate in which participants will have access to acres of woodland, a fruit farm, an 18-hole golf course and a cricket pitch. There is currently room for 10 children in total, making sure that each child is given the chance to make the most of all that is on offer by the two proficient leaders.
Your child should expect to take part in activities such as tent pitching, fire building, assisting with cooking meals in a safe environment, orienteering, team games, camp fires, a tour of the fruit farm, sports such as cricket and a whole range more.
The two-night experience is priced at £150 per child. This includes everything your child will need, all they have to bring is a pillow, outdoor clothing/shoes and of course themselves!
